Plaid Celebrates Month of the Military Child!

Kasey Jones
General Crafts

Plaid recently had the honor of participating in an event at the Pentagon celebrating the Month of the Military Child. Nearly 700 kids created their own star-spangled T-shirts decorated with FolkArt® Fabric™ Paint and Simply® Stamps. Plaid Ambassador Karen Embry of Tampa, FL, led the activity, and then followed up with an extra special scrapbook commemorating the event. We're pleased to share her memories and photos.

Click on each thumbnail below to take a peek at some of the scrapbook pages!

Note: Let your mouse sit on a thumbnail for a couple of seconds and a yellow box will pop up with a caption! Once you click on the thumbnail you can see the full-sized scrapbook page (along with the captions). If it's hard to see or read, let your mouse sit on the scrapbook page for a few seconds and an "enlargement" button will pop up for you to click on.

A special message from Plaid Ambassador, Karen Embry. The Pentagon courtyard had never looked quite like this! The grass was adorned with freshly painted T-Shirts that the children left to dry while attending other activities in the courtyard. Military dads busy at work!
