I’m the proud mother of three wonderful children and a silly and cute grandson named Sammy. I’ve been a designer and crafter with Plaid for 15 years. My love of crafting took off when I was 14 and won a “Best in Show” ribbon at the Orange County Fair for one of my oil paintings. Since that time, I’ve been crafting up a storm! I love Mod Podge and everything it can do - there is hardly a project out there that doesn’t deserve a little Mod Podge. Other Supplies
Large flat brush
#8 flat brush
liner brush
transfer paper
pencil 8" x 10" canvas

Instructions

  1. Double load the large flat brush with Lipstick Red and Coffee Bean.  Slip-slap the colors on the canvas until covered, picking up paint often and being careful to not over stroke and muddy colors.
  2. When dry, transfer pattern to canvas.
  3. Basecoat flower center with Cinnamon.  Pounce #8 flat brush over the top of the basecoat with Coffee Bean and Cinnamon.  When dry, highlight with an almost dry brush, using Wicker White.
  4. Basecoat Leaves with Clover.  Pounce #8 flat brush over the top of the basecoat with Forest Moss and Clover.  When dry, highlight with an almost dry brush, using Wicker White.
  5. Basecoat petals with Medium Yellow.  Shade petals with Turners Yellow and, close to the center of the flower, Autumn Leaves.  When dry, highlight with an almost dry brush, using Wicker White.
  6. Water down Licorice paint and outline entire design with the liner brush.
