Brand Communications Manager

Location: Norcross, GA

The Brand Communications Manager will have traditional marcom and ecommerce experience and is able to bring Plaid products to life across all marketing channels. Responsibilities include crafting and managing consistent and engaging brand messaging and storytelling for D2C marketing touch points. This role will collaborate with Product Managers, Graphic Designers, Content Studio Creators, and Sales to create successful campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling content that illustrates the value and key features of Plaid products, including how to best represent these products in both brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, and digital environments.
  • Project management during product lifecycle, from initial needs assessment to delivery of final assets, mapping out and delivering best in class, multi-faceted content for in store point of sale, e-commerce assets, websites, brand catalogs, blog posts, and social channels.
  • Storyboard product display pages for e-commerce sales and videos
  • Create plans for new and leverage existing content photography, copy and videos for use across retail partner and brand ecommerce web sites.
  • Write and edit clear product titles and descriptions, instructions, and how-to copy for product packaging and ecommerce websites. Ensure that all information is compelling and accurate along with meeting the needs for search engine optimization.
  • Ensure that web content meets established editorial, quality, and brand voice standards.
  • Follow the company’s editorial strategy as well as write in different tones, styles, and voices to meet the unique needs of each brand.
  • Help establish and maintain brand product copy library and standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in marketing or communications
  • 2-3 years of marketing communications experience in a direct-to-consumer environment
  • Strong creative and technical writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent organization skills and strong project timeline management abilities
  • Great attention to detail, along both strong collaborative and independent work skills
  • Self-motivated, eager, inquisitive, and enthusiastic
  • Good eye for design and visual aesthetics
  • Search engine optimization understanding, and experience are key
  • Strong computer skills
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Canva
    • Basic Adobe Photoshop and Bridge and Illustrator / InDesign knowledge a plus
