How can I use stamps to add some pizzazz to my scrapbook pages?
There are lots of ways to express a theme or add a whimsical touch by integrating stamp designs and photo scenes. Place a photo subject inside a stamped design, like the girl in the teacup. First, stamp the image, then cut with an X-Acto® knife along the edge of the image where the photo will be inserted.
Add a stamped image to your photo by stamping on sticker paper, cutting it out and sticking it onto the photo. If you want the stamped image to appear behind the photo subjects, like the giraffe in the example, cut along the edge of the photo subjects and insert the stamped sticker behind.
Enhance the atmosphere of your pages by creating beautiful backgrounds. Try stamping in repeat patterns or mixing related images for more interesting patterns. Roll an art brayer onto an inkpad, then roll out solid colors or layer several colors. Use a rainbow inkpad with a brayer for multi-colored backgrounds. Use a Stamp Art Template or stencils with stamping sponges to create scenery, patterns and other accents.
Layer beautiful papers in different colors and textures to create frames, borders and backgrounds. You can also tear paper into various shapes to form collage backgrounds and accents.
You can also use punches to create photo corners, borders and other decorative elements.
