FAQs

How long will each kit take to complete?
Depending on your skill level, kits can be completed in as little as one day to one week.
What do I do if I'm short sequins or beads for my Bucilla project?
Call customer service to receive more beads or sequins. 1-800-842-4197 Mon - Fri. 8am - 5pm EST
What is the difference between the solid blue patterns and the multicolor patterns in your Bucilla stamped goods program?
The blue ink is washable- you stitch it first and then wash it so the ink disappears. The multicolor ink is permanent. It will not disappear. The choice is yours for how you like to stitch.
Do I need a hoop in order to stitch Bucilla Baby project?
No, a hoop is not required to stitch Bucilla Baby projects, although using a hoop for stamped designs will help to keep the fabric taunt and the stitches uniform.
How do I attach the beads to the sequins in my Bucilla felt kit?
To attach the bead to the sequin by sewing:
  1. Bring needle and thread up through the printed dot on the fabric, then through the sequin and bead.
  2. Go around outside of bead and back down through the center of the sequin
  3. Come up through center of next sequin and repeat.
What skill level is required for completing each kit?
The kits range from beginner to intermediate.
Why shouldn’t I wash my Bucilla tablecloth fabrics before stitching?
Bucilla tablecloth designs are stamped with water-soluble ink. If you wash the tablecloth before you stitch it, you will lose the pattern. When you are finished stitching your design, you will want to wash the piece so the ink markings do not interfere with your beautiful stitch work.
How do I attach the dowel to my Bucilla felt calendar or banner?
Make a casing for the dowel by folding back the top flap(s), in half to form a 1” wide casing. Use one strand of loss and sew a slipstitch (see diagram) to the back of the felt to secure. Insert dowel through casing.
How do I wash the ink out of my Bucilla Baby project once I finish stitching?
Hand or machine wash your Bucilla Baby project on a gentle cycle with mild soap and cold water, DO NOT use bleach. Dry flat or machine dry using a low heat setting. Do not wash until your project has been completely stitched or stamped.
Is everything that is needed to complete the project included in the kit?
Yes, all kits include fabric, needle, floss, instruction sheet, and any accessories (such as plastic frame or hoop) that are required for finishing the kit.
