Can I create any special effects with FolkArt Ultra Dye?
Yes, FolkArt Ultra Dye can be used to create a one-color Ombre effect or when using two colors, you can easily create a blended dye look. FolkArt Ultra Dye can also be used beautifully with stencils on unfinished wood.
Can I thin the FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint fabric painting mixture with water to achieve different painted effects?
Yes, the fabric painted mixture (1 part FolkArt Textile Medium – 2 parts FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint), can be thinned with water to create detail linework. It can also be “spritzed” onto fabric using a clean pump spray bottle.
Can I use FolkArt Treasure Gold as a basecoat or can I color block a small area?
Yes, FolkArt Treasure Gold can be used to color block an area. It can also be used to basecoat larger areas, such as a piece of furniture, for a very dramatic metallic effect. When color blocking, use stencil tape or painter’s tape to mask the areas to be painted.
 
Can I use water to thin FolkArt Watercolor Acrylic Paint?
Yes, water can be used to dilute FolkArt Watercolor to achieve a variety of wash effects.
Do I need to mix or shake FolkArt Marbling Medium before using it?

No, do not shake FolkArt Marbling Medium before using, as doing so may introduce air bubbles into the product.

Does FolkArt 3D acrylic paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Yes. FolkArt 3D dries to a durable, satin sheen that is both water- and weather-resistant.

Does FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Absolutely. FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint is formulated so that it can be used on interior surfaces as well as a permanent outdoor paint. By the nature of the acrylic polymers used to make FolkArt Brushed Metal, it is weather resistant.  FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint dries to a brushed metal finish that reflects a soft polished effect. When properly cured to the surface, (approximately 48 hours), it is self-sealing and does not require a sealing topcoat.

Does FolkArt Coastal Texture Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Yes, FolkArt Coastal Texture Paint which dries to a textured, weathered surface that is water, weather and fade resistant making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Additional weathering on an outdoor surface simply adds to the charm of the coastal “worn-by-the-sea” effect.

Does FolkArt Color Shift Acrylic Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Absolutely. FolkArt Color Shift Acrylic Paint is formulated so that it can be used on interior surfaces as well as a permanent outdoor paint. By the nature of the acrylic polymers used to make FolkArt Color Shift, it is weather resistant.  When cured to the surface, it is self-sealing, making it unnecessary to seal or topcoat, when properly cured (48 hours). Once cured to the project surface, it is water and fade resistant under normal conditions.

Does FolkArt Picking Wash hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Yes, Pickling Wash can be used on most outdoor surfaces. It is weather-resistant without the use of a varnish topcoat. Once the paint has properly cured to the surface approximately 48 hours after application, the project surface is water- and fade-resistant under normal conditions.
