Laser-Cut Paper Stencils FAQ

Clean FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencils with cool water while the paint is still wet. To remove dried paint from the stencil, use a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol. Rub gently to avoid tearing the stencil.

Secure FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencils to project surfaces with stencil spray adhesive (following manufacturer's instructions) or with stencil tape. Spray adhesive is the better choice for intricately cut or borderless Laser-Cut Painting Stencils. Be sure your stencil is flat and flush on your project surface to avoid paint run-unders.

FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencils work beautifully on many decorative craft painting surfaces including wood, tin, paper mache, terra cotta, canvas, plaster and fabric.

You can stencil on either side of a FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencil. If using a stencil brush to stencil on a slick surface, you may find the brush glides better when stenciling on the slick side of the stencil. Remember, when some stencils are flipped, they will produce a reversed image.

FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencils can be used with a variety of painting tools, including FolkArt Daubers, Spouncers®, stencil brushes, sea or cosmetic sponges and rollers. Each tool produces a slightly different effect. You may want to try different applicators until you find the right look and best fit for your project.
