FAQs

On what types of surfaces can I use FolkArt Peel & Stick Painting Stencils?
FolkArt Peel & Stick Painting Stencils work beautifully on glass, ceramics and other smooth, slick surfaces, and can also be used on a variety of craft surfaces such as wood, tin, paper mache, terra cotta, canvas, plaster or fabric.
On which side of FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencils should I stencil?
You can stencil on either side of a FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencil. If using a stencil brush to stencil on a slick surface, you may find the brush glides better when stenciling on the slick side of the stencil. Remember, when some stencils are flipped, they will produce a reversed image.
Should I allow each stenciled layer to dry before adding the next FolkArt Home Decor Layering Stencil?
Yes, when creating with FolkArt Home Decor Layering Stencils, it is best to allow each stenciled layer to completely dry prior to adding another stenciled layer.
Not only will the paint colors stay clean, it will also prevent the back of the stencils from getting wet and possibly smudging the first layer of paint.
