FAQs

Can FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint be used with other paint products?
No, direct mixing of FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint with other paint products will compromise the color, the finish as well as the ability to achieve the desired marbled effect.

Do I need to “charge” the surface to activate the glow?
Yes. Charge in sunlight or indoor light for 30 minutes. The glow will depend on how many finish layers were applied and length of charge.
Does FolkArt Glaze hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Yes, FolkArt Glaze is formulated so that it can be used on exterior surfaces as well as interior surfaces.

Can I mix two FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paints to achieve a new color or different value of the same color?
Yes, FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paints can be intermixed with one another to create a new color or different value of the same color.  To mix small amounts of color at a time, simply squeeze a small amount of paint to be mixed into a cup.  Using a spoon, stir stick, Popsicle stick, skewer or palette knife, blend a small amount of darker color into the lighter color.  Continue adding small amounts of the dark color until the desired value is achieved.

Can I use water to thin FolkArt Pouring Medium?
Thinning FolkArt Pouring Medium is not necessary, as it is manufactured to the perfect consistency to create a variety of marbled effects using either the Direct Pour Method, the Dirty Pour Method, or the Flip Cup Method.

Does FolkArt Glass Etching Cream hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Yes, as long as the etch-able surface can withstand the outdoors, FolkArt Glass Etching Cream will too, as the product is not a topcoat; rather, it permeates the surface to make the etched design permanent.

How long does it take FolkArt Glaze to cure?

While FolkArt Glaze will be dry to the touch very quickly, it will take approximately 24 hours before it is cured to the surface. Once cured to the project surface, it is water- and fade-resistant under normal conditions.

How long will Plaid ® Glo Away™ remain glowing?
Activate with direct light for about 4 hours. Will glow for about 30 minutes and then may need to be re-activated.
Can I use water to thin FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint?
Thinning FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint is not necessary, as it is manufactured to the perfect consistency to create a variety of paint poured or marbled effects using either the Direct Pour Method or Dirty Pour Method.

Do I need to mix or shake FolkArt Pouring Medium before using it?
No, shaking FolkArt Pouring Medium may only introduce air bubbles into the product.  It is best not to shake before using.
