Will you service a Plaid item that I bought second hand?
We only guarantee items that have been purchased from a major retailer or directly from Plaid.
After I apply Mod Podge to my cup or plate, can I still use it?
Mod Podge covered items are basically for decorative use and Mod Podge should be used for dry items only. However, if you place a paper doily on your decoupaged surface before placing the food, you can serve from your project.
Are Gallery Glass products okay for kids to use?
Gallery Glass Window Color is a non-toxic, water-based product line perfect for children’s art projects such as preformed sun catchers, or magnet photo frames with adult supervision. The AP Seal on all Gallery Glass products indicates they are non-toxic and safe.
Are the Paper Stencils reusable?
Yes, the paper stencils are a durable cardstock material and can be used up to approximately 10 times depending on how heavily saturated the paint is applied with each use.
Are there any surfaces not suited for Leather Studio™ paint?
Leather Studio™ is not recommended for suede, patent leather, satin, cracked or waterproofed shoes and accessories.
Do not use Leather Studio™ paints on other items such as furniture, automobile seats, etc. Also if a vinyl surface feels sticky or spongy, Leather Studio™ paint may not adhere.
Can I use FolkArt® and Apple Barrel paint on plaster?
Yes, you can use both FolkArt® and Apple Barrel paint on plaster. However, because plaster is very porous and sometimes dusty, you will need to first seal the piece with a clear acrylic matte spray sealer.
Can Waverly Inspirations Chalk colors be mixed to create new colors or different values of the same color?
Yes, you can create custom colors by mixing any number of the Waverly Inspirations Chalk paints together.
Start with the lightest color, adding in darker shades until desired color is achieved.
Do you have any tips on the best way to thread a needle?
Separate the strands of floss
Take one strand and double it (most cross stitches require 2 strands, while back stitches require just one.)
Thread the looped end of the strand through the eye of the needle
Pull the loop to the bottom
NEVER make knots in your floss, so as to ensure a smooth finished back.
