What types of surfaces can Apple Barrel Paints (original formula) be used on?
Apple Barrel Paints are developed to be an all-purpose acrylic paint and can be used on most craft surfaces such as wood, paper mache, canvas, paper, Styrofoam, plaster, terra cotta and more.
How should I mix Apple Barrel Pouring Medium with Apple Barrel Acrylics Paints? What is the best ratio of paint to medium?
Begin by pouring equal amounts of Apple Barrel Pouring Medium and an Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint color into a small cup or container.  Mix by gently stirring using a plastic spoon or wood Popsicle stick until thoroughly mixed.  Continue for each desired color.
 
What is the difference between FolkArt® and Apple Barrel paint?
Apple Barrel is an all-purpose acrylic craft paint. It works great on craft surfaces including Styrofoam, wood, paper, terra cotta and canvas.

FolkArt paint is a high quality pre-mixed acrylic paint with a rich and creamy consistency. FolkArt is a favorite of decorative painters and artists.
How long does it take Apple Barrel Pouring Medium to cure?
Apple Barrel Pouring Medium when mixed with Apple Barrel Acrylic Paints will dry to the touch within 24 hours, however, it will take approximately 48 hours before it is cured to the surface.
 
How should I clean my tools after using Apple Barrel Pouring Medium?
Because Apple Barrel Pouring Medium and Apple Barrel Acrylic Paints are water-based products rather than solvent-based products, cleanup is easy using soap and water.
 
Can I use FolkArt® and Apple Barrel paint on plaster?
Yes, you can use both FolkArt® and Apple Barrel paint on plaster. However, because plaster is very porous and sometimes dusty, you will need to first seal the piece with a clear acrylic matte spray sealer.
What makes Apple Barrel Pouring Medium different from other craft mediums?
Apple Barrel Pouring Medium is specifically formulated as a fluid paint medium designed to be used with fluid art techniques.
 
Do I need to mix or shake Apple Barrel Pouring Medium before using it?
No, shaking Apple Barrel Marbling Medium may only introduce air bubbles into the product.  It is best not to shake before using.
 
Can I use water to thin Apple Barrel Pouring Medium?
Thinning Apple Barrel Pouring Medium is not necessary, as it is manufactured to the perfect consistency to create a variety of marbled effects using either the Direct Pour Method, the Dirty Pour Method, or the Flip Cup Method.
 
Is a project created using Apple Barrel Pouring Medium dishwasher safe?
No, unfortunately, all projects created with Apple Barrel Pouring Medium are not dishwasher safe, nor should they be immersed in water.   These marbled surfaces should be used for decorative purposes only.
