On what surfaces can FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint be used?

FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint can be applied to many surfaces: wood, terra cotta, paper maché, canvas and most porous surfaces.

How should I apply FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint?

A soft bristle brush, roller or sponge applicator is the best way to apply FolkArt® Chalkboard paint to the surface of choice.

Is FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint permanent?

Yes, FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint is permanent on any surface; be careful when applying. It is permanent on clothing, rugs, flooring, etc. Clean up while wet with soap and water.

Is FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint fade resistant?

FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint uses the same durable pigments as FolkArt® Acrylic Paints, however, direct sunlight will dilute the color over a span of several years.

Is FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint suitable for outdoor use?

FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint can be used on surfaces that are suitable for outdoor use as long as they are protected from the elements.

How should I apply FolkArt® Texture Paint?

FolkArt® Texture Paint can be applied with a palette knife, a paint brush or a stencil brush. When using a paint brush or stencil brush, use a dabbing motion to get the most textured effect.

Can FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint be used with other paint products?

No, direct mixing of FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint with other paint products will compromise the color, the finish as well as the ability to achieve the desired marbled effect.   

Can FolkArt® Texture Paint be applied to a flexible surface?

FolkArt® Texture Paint should not be applied to flexible surfaces because it may crack.

If FolkArt Brush Lettering Paint has settled in the bottle, should it be shaken prior to using it?

Yes, before using, shake or stir Brush Lettering Paint well to mix until the color is uniform.
