Do you have any tips for determining the different colors of floss that come in the Bucilla kits?
The best way is to lay all of the strands out from light to dark. The instructional chart included in your kit will tell you how many yards of each color are in the kit so be sure the check the yardage when determining colors.
How do you embroider with the chain stitch?
The chain stitch is great for flower stems or outlining.
Come up at A; hold loop on surface of fabric. Go down in same hole at A. Come up at B, inside loop. Pull loop even around B. Repeat A-B, going down inside completed loop. Go down at C over last loop to secure.
Do I need a hoop in order to stitch Bucilla Baby project?
No, a hoop is not required to stitch Bucilla Baby projects, although using a hoop for stamped designs will help to keep the fabric taunt and the stitches uniform.
How do I create a lazy daisy stitch in embroidery?
These fun stitches are decorative loops.
Bring needle up at A. Make a loose loop with the thread and insert needle back in A and bring point of needle up at B (just inside loop). Pull needle out at B and insert back in at B, over the loop.
