Can I mix FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint with water, mediums or acrylic paints?

No, FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint should not be mixed with water, mediums or other acrylic paints. Mixing with anything other than other FolkArt® Chalkboard Paints will destroy the properties that make the paint work as a chalkboard surface.

Can I use FolkArt paint on plaster?

Yes, you can use both FolkArt paint on plaster. However, because plaster is very porous and sometimes dusty, you will need to first seal the piece with a clear acrylic matte spray sealer.

Will I be able to mix my FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint to create a new color or value?

Yes, even though there are a wide range of colors to choose from, they can be mixed easily to create any value you desire. However, we do suggest only mixing within the same formula. The paint easily cleans up with soap and water while still wet.

Do I have to use a medium when fabric painting using FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint?

How shall I wash my hand painted item decorated with FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint?

The paint has been tested for machine washing, however, with all hand painted items, it is best to hand wash in cold water and air dry which will increase durability. If washing by machine, turn garment inside out and use cold water in mild detergent on the gentle cycle.
