On what types of surfaces can I use FolkArt Watercolor Acrylic Paint?

Many surfaces can be decorated with FolkArt Watercolor Acrylic Paint, such as wood, papier mache, paper, glass, canvas, and fabric. On sealed surfaces such as glassware, ceramics, tin, metal, and plastic, FolkArt Watercolor should be used for decorative purposes only.

Does FolkArt Color Shift Acrylic Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Absolutely. FolkArt Color Shift Acrylic Paint is formulated so that it can be used on interior surfaces as well as a permanent outdoor paint. By the nature of the acrylic polymers used to make FolkArt Color Shift, it is weather resistant.  When cured to the surface, it is self-sealing, making it unnecessary to seal or topcoat, when properly cured (48 hours). Once cured to the project surface, it is water and fade resistant under normal conditions.

How do I clean up after using FolkArt 3D Acrylic Paint?

Because FolkArt 3D Acrylic Colors is water-based, it is easy to clean paint residue immediately after use, while paint is still wet with soap and warm water. Remember to replace the protective cap over the bottle of paint after each use.

Can I thin the FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint fabric painting mixture with water to achieve different painted effects?
Yes, the fabric painted mixture (1 part FolkArt Textile Medium – 2 parts FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint), can be thinned with water to create detail linework. It can also be “spritzed” onto fabric using a clean pump spray bottle.
Is FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint fade resistant?

What is the difference between FolkArt Home Decor Chalk paint and FolkArt Acrylic paint?
FolkArt Acrylic paint is formulated as a premium, artist’s quality acrylic paint with superior hide and smooth, creamy consistency perfect for most art techniques such as brush stroke work, blending and highlighting, or stenciling. FolkArt Acrylic paint will dry to a durable matte sheen.
FolkArt Home Decor Chalk is formulated as high quality paint perfect for painting and distressing furniture and thrift store finds, as well as home Decor accessories. It is a heavily pigmented paint that does not require any project preparation such as priming, sanding or stripping. FolkArt Home Decor Chalk provides the DIY enthusiast an ultra matte chalky finish when dry which is easily sanded to distress using medium grit sandpaper. It will not “gum up” sandpaper making it easy to achieve a time-worn look.
How shall I wash my hand painted item decorated with FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint?
The paint has been tested for machine washing, however, with all hand painted items, it is best to hand wash in cold water and air dry which will increase durability.
If washing by machine, turn garment inside out and use cold water in mild detergent on the gentle cycle.
Can I mix FolkArt® Extreme Glitter with FolkArt® Acrylics?
No, you cannot mix FolkArt® Extreme Glitter with FolkArt® Acrylics or any other acrylic paint. You may apply FolkArt® Extreme Glitter over any dry acrylic paint.
