How long does FolkArt Home Decor Texture Chalk paint take to dry and cure?

Allow a minimum of 2 hours of dry time between coats, depending upon thickness of application. Once dry, FolkArt Home Decor Texture Chalk will take a minimum of 48 hours before fully cured to the surface.

What is FolkArt Home Decor Wax?

FolkArt Home Decor Wax is a brushable, waterbase, non-toxic, paraffin-infused wax finish used to seal and protect painted surfaces. Allow paint to fully dry 24 hours before applying wax. Clean brushes while wet with soap and water.

How can I apply FolkArt Outdoor colors?

You can stencil, sponge or brush on opaque and metallic colors. Brush-on colors can be stroked and blended like other FolkArt paints.

Do I need to use a sealer over FolkArt® Shinys?

No, sealers are not necessary when using FolkArt® Shinys. They were developed as a self-sealing acrylic paint. FolkArt® Outdoor Varnish will improve weather resistance if a project will be in the elements.

Do the FolkArt® Shinys stick to each other after they have cured?

Yes, FolkArt® Shinys will stick to each other after they have cured. Any paint with a gloss finish will stick to itself. To prevent sticking, apply a coat of FolkArt® Outdoor Varnish.

How shall I wash my hand painted item decorated with FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint?

The paint has been tested for machine washing, however, with all hand painted items, it is best to hand wash in cold water and air dry which will increase durability. If washing by machine, turn garment inside out and use cold water in mild detergent on the gentle cycle.

Can I decorate my fabric pillow with FolkArt Glitterific? Will it be permanent on fabric surfaces?

Like painting on glassware or glazed ceramics, FolkArt Glitterific can be painted on a fabric surface, most definitely. However, it should be created as a decorative purpose only project. Unfortunately, FolkArt Glitterific Paint will dry as a brittle film that is not flexible...
