Why is the FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Paint Brush unique?
The FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Paint Brush has a specialty bristle mix and brush shape to help hold the maximum amount of paint, making application quick and easy.
To add texture and depth to your piece, liberally apply paint, stroking brush in multiple directions while applying paint. The look of depth can be further enhanced by using FolkArt Home Decor Waxes. If a smoother finish is desired, apply in one direction using long, even strokes.
Does FolkArt Color Watercolor Acrylic Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?
Yes, FolkArt Watercolor can be used on interior surfaces as well as on outdoor surfaces.
If FolkArt Brush Lettering Paint has settled in the bottle, should it be shaken prior to using it?

Yes, before using, shake or stir Brush Lettering Paint well to mix until the color is uniform.

Is it better to apply thin coats or thick coats of the FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint?
It is best to apply several thin coats of paint, allowing the paint to dry between coats.
Is it necessary to seal or varnish FolkArt Marbling Paint?

Projects created using FolkArt Marbling Paints MUST be sealed. Project surfaces can be spray sealed using FolkArt Acrylic Lacquers (Matte, Satin, or Gloss Finishes) or brushed with FolkArt Artists’ Varnish (Satin or Gloss).

Note: Before storing finished marbled projects, surfaces should be sealed to keep projects from sticking to one another.

Is it necessary to seal or varnish FolkArt Watercolor Acrylic Paint?
Projects created using FolkArt Watercolor Acrylic Paints do not need to be sealed; however, for extra durability and protection, project surfaces can be sealed using FolkArt Acrylic Lacquers or brushed with FolkArt Artists’ Varnish
Is FolkArt Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint food safe?
Although the paint is non-toxic, it should never come in contact with food. When painting a glass, keep painted design below 8/10" or 2 cm from the lip; and when painting plates, paint only on the rim of the plate that will not come in contact with food or reverse glass paint in the center.
On what surfaces can I use FolkArt 3D acrylic paints?

FolkArt 3D can be applied to most paintable craft surfaces: wood, terra cotta, stretched canvas, rigid plastic, papier mache, fabric, metal, bisque-ware or unglazed ceramics, glass and glazed ceramics, and rocks.

What is FolkArt Milk Paint Finishing Oil?
FolkArt Milk Paint Finishing Oil will absorb directly into the pores of a raw or FolkArt Milk Paint decorated surface creating a velvety smooth finish. It also enhances the look of natural unfinished wood. FolkArt Finishing Oil is non-toxic and can be cleaned up easily with soap and water. One 3.7 fl. oz. bottle will cover approximately 15 square feet.
Do I need to shake FolkArt Milk Paint before using?
Yes, shaking the FolkArt Milk Paint bottle before using will incorporate the paint (if any has settled).
