Can FolkArt® Shinys be used for surfaces that will be outdoors?

Yes, as long as the surface is suitable for outdoors. FolkArt® Shinys can be exposed to the elements and are fade resistant and water resistant.

How do I apply FolkArt® Shinys?

FolkArt® Shinys may be applied using a soft brush, roller or sponge applicator.

Will FolkArt Ultra Dye stain my clothing?

Yes, FolkArt Ultra Dye may permanently dye clothing. It is suggested that while creating with FolkArt Ultra Dye, wear old or protective clothing as well as plastic gloves.

How do you apply the FolkArt® Enamels Frost colors?

You can stencil, spounce or brush on. The colors will dry to a matte finish and have the same durability of regular FolkArt Enamels.

Can FolkArt Enamels be thinned with water?

No, thinning FolkArt Enamels with water compromises the integrity of the paint formula and will prevent the paint from properly adhering to your glass surface. 

Is it necessary to seal or varnish FolkArt Glitterific Paint? 

No, it is not necessary to seal projects created using FolkArt Glitterific. If desired, project surfaces can be sealed using a glossy sealer—such as FolkArt Acrylic Lacquer Gloss Finish or FolkArt Artists’ Varnish Gloss—for extra protection. 

What is FolkArt Home Decor Wax?

FolkArt Home Decor Wax is a brushable, waterbase, non-toxic, paraffin-infused wax finish used to seal and protect painted surfaces. Allow paint to fully dry 24 hours before applying wax. Clean brushes while wet with soap and water.

When will my FolkArt Home Decor waxed surface be cured?

FolkArt Home Decor waxed surfaces will be fully cured in 7 days. Until then, keep waxed surfaces free of moisture and heavy use to allow enough time for the wax to fully cure.
