Our goal is to ship orders as quickly as possible; however, we are experiencing some delays in processing and shipping orders at this time. All orders will be shipped ground by FedEx SmartPost only, and a tracking number will be provided when your order ships.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support of Plaid products. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Basic Silkscreen Tips

Practice your technique and/or check your color by first making a sample print on paper or scrap fabric.

  1. Peel to remove the silkscreen from the backer sheet. Save backer sheet to store cleaned silkscreen after use.
  2. Place silkscreen on the surface, tack side down, and press in place.
  3. Pour a small amount of paint onto a palette. Load stencil brush, foam pouncer or dauber with paint sparingly.
  4. Lightly dab a thin layer of paint onto the silkscreen and then swirl over the screen lightly covering all areas with paint.
  5. To blend two colors where they meet, lightly swirl over the silkscreen area while blending the colors together.
  6. After the entire silkscreen is completed and while the paint is still wet, carefully peel to remove the silkscreen from the project surface.
  7. Rinse the used silkscreen well to remove paint residue, dry and then store on the backer sheet for future use.
