Cute and Crafty Easter Basket Ideas for Kids

Cute and Crafty Easter Basket Ideas for Kids

As a child, my family was always hip hopping all over the place. It's safe to say we never had what you would call traditional holidays. We therefore got crafty with our traditions. My favorite? Homemade Easter baskets! It gave us a fun activity to do as a family the night before, and made it that much more exciting to see what everyone's favorite bunny left in our Easter morning masterpieces! I've gathered up my favorite ideas to help inspire alternative Easter baskets of your own! Some are 100% Easter, while others can easily be used year-round. We hope these make you as hoppy as they do us :)

Gather up construction paper, newspapers, magazines, even old text books, to make these wonderfully crafty DIY Bird Nests via Art Bar. Mod Podge is the perfect thing to hold it all together.

All you need to make this Bunny Basket DIY via Mer Mag is cardboard, duct tape, and a little bit of imagination! I can also see it being made with some fun colored FolkArt Home Decor Chalk for flawless floppy-eared results.

Painted String Bowls via Laughing Kids Learn are some of those things that can be used all year-round! Bigger kids will have fun making the base, while smaller bunnies can swing in and go to town with FolkArt multi-surface paints.

Chalk Tin Pails via Mer Mag are the perfect opportunity to whip out that FolkArt Chalkboard Paint. Such a cute way to customize Easter morning for every member of the family :)

Easter is the perfect time for recycled play! I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're already dying Easter eggs. Why not reuse the cartons they came in and make Painted Easter Egg Cartons via Design Mom? Both FolkArt Home Decor Chalk and multi-surface paints will make for bright and beautiful baskets.

Idea! Use an everyday paper grocery sack as an Easter basket. Fill it up with all the crafty supplies you need to make these Brown Sack Easter Masks via Oh Happy Day! Artsiest Easter ever!
