Plaid Creator Projects for Upcycle A Classroom

Plaid-Creators-Upcycle-a-Classroom-(1).pngThe latest challenge for our creators involved “Upcycle a classroom.” We tasked each Each creator with finding a teacher. Then they had to create something for that teacher to use in their classroom. They had to make the project with Mod Podge! Here is what our Creators crafted for their teachers.

Each Creator came up with some innovative and very fun projects.

Erin Spain created a Mod Podge Fabric Bulletin board & DIY Thumb tacks – “I was especially excited about this particular project because my sister happens to be a teacher, so I knew this would be a great way to make something fun for her classroom.”

Flamingo Toes did something special to the classroom and redid the Mystery box. “I created this Classroom Mystery Box and Clues Printable for my sister. She’s a Kindergarten teacher and as part of her classroom she chooses a Star Student every week. … The student puts an item from home in the box, then brings it back to school and gives the class three clues to the item in the box.”

Cherished Bliss created the DIY Wooden Pencil Holder. “My daughter loves to draw. She draws on everything… paper, wood, cardboard, walls, furniture. She always has despite my attempts at providing the proper medium for her. This month is the 50th Anniversary of Mod Podge® and with my daughter’s inspiration we created a fun DIY Wooden Pencil Holder Teacher Gift!

Made to be a Momma crafted a set of cork bulletin boards for a teacher. “One of Plaid’s challenges to their Plaid Creators this year was to create something useful for teachers with their ever popular Mod Podge ® products, which are actually celebrating their 50th Anniversary of being around … I asked my sister what she thought she might be able to use for her classroom and she immediately told me she wanted some cork bulletin boards for her classroom.  We headed to our local craft store and picked up a few supplies.

One Artsy Mama designed a DIY crate for her little crafter’s teacher. “Mod Podge is a wonderful supply for schools and teachers too. Today, I want to share a quick and easy project you can create that would be useful in any classroom. Take a look…”

Petticoat Junktion did a more practical project with this Decoupage Step Stool. “Today I’m channeling my inner child with Mod Podge® and the Minions. I pulled out two almost empty gallon jugs of Mod Podge from my craft shelf and went to town”

Positively Splendid crafted this useful and educational United States Mod Podge Bulletin Board. “The moment we received this assignment, I immediately went out to my garage to find an old cork board in dire need of a facelift. Armed with Mod Podge, paint, and some decorative paper, this outdated bulletin board turned into a United States Map Mod Podge bulletin board?

Pretty Life Girls constructed a DIY Block City Table. “This project was such a treat to put together and would be great for everything from classrooms to home playrooms. Since my son is still in preschool and those kids do a lot of hands-on play, I knew I wanted to create a one-of-a-kind toy with lots of colors and shapes and ways to be creative”

The Cards We Drew made a DIY Classroom Reward Chest. “For our son’s class, they earn “Dojo” points for good behavior and classroom work and once they earn enough points they get to pick a treat out of the treasure chest. So as a special thank you to my son’s teacher, today I thought I’d create a DIY Classroom Reward Chest made with a wooden chest, milk paint, and mod podge!”
