Today many of us here at Plaid participated in the Lunch and Learn. The topic for today's lunch and learn was FolkArt Home Decor Chalk and a dry distress technique. In and up coming blog post we will have the "how to" on using the Home Decor Chalk! So stay tuned, but today we will give you a brief overview.
We worked with FolkArt Home Decor Chalk in paint and wax forms
We got to choose two different types of surfaces in either a Java or Glaicer base coat.
The Java was covered by the Imperial Color
Getting started painting during the lunch and learn!
Painting over the base coat
After painting we sanded to get the right distress look
Sanding on the Imperial base coat
After sanding you would seal with a wax to finish the project. This is the clear wax.
Here is the finished projects with Lunch and Learn Teacher Chris
Chris will have more in depth coverage of how to use the FolkArt Home Decor Chalk and the dry distress technique soon!
