We're totally owning these tutus, don't you think?
The AC Moore Arts & Crafts team along with their CEO Pepe Piperno challenged us to show that we're #not2tough2tutu in support of the fight against breast cancer. Our CEO Mike McCooey, along with our entire Plaid family, enthusiastically responded to the challenge!

We joined together to make tutus today, and we were especially inspired hearing stories from our breast cancer 'thrivers,' Libby, Linda and Suzanne, pictured below with Mike. They shared their experiences with our team and energized us with their strength, grace and humor!
Suzanne is also a part of the design team, and she led us in an easy "tutu-orial" on how to make an easy 20 minute tutu!
How to Make a 20 Minute Tutu
You'll need: yardage of tulle, a piece of ribbon long enough to tie around your waist and scissors. We each used about 3 yards per person with most of the 'fluff' in the front for our 20 minute version, but if you'd like a fuller tutu, we'd recommend 6+ yards.
How to: Scrunch up the tulle and have a friend hold it taut, which will make it easier to cut. If you don't have a friend handy, you can also tie it to the back of a chair. Cut the tulle into segments about 4-5 inches wide. Next, tie each piece onto the ribbon. Continue tying the rest of the pieces of the tulle onto the ribbon - and voilà! You're ready to tutu!

Our "Plaid Men" rocked their tutus with style!
We're #not2tough2tutu, and now we challenge YOU to show your support, too!
AC Moore will donate $1 for every photo shared on social media with the hashtag #not2tough2tutu through the end of the month (up to $25,000) to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer during October 2015!
