Which pencils are best for shading?
Pencils with softer leads are best for shading. Pencils marked with a B are better for shading than those marked with an H. The higher the number before the B, the darker the shading. For example, a B pencil is good for light shading, while a 2B pencil produces darker shading. H pencils are great for very light sketching or combining with B pencils to build layers of complex shading. Our pencil sets include a range of leads to suit all shading needs.
How do you color with pencils?
There are several ways to color with pencils, but the most common technique is the back-and-forth stroke, where you move the pencil tip across the paper repeatedly. Other methods include using dots, cross-hatching, or circular motions to apply color. Our pencils have durable, vibrant, and long-lasting cores that work perfectly with any coloring style.
What kinds of pencils are used for sketching?
Pencils with harder leads, marked with an H, are ideal for sketching. The higher the H number, the lighter the pencil stroke. Our professional pencil sets always include a variety of H pencils, making them perfect for sketching and outlining.
