No, mixing FolkArt® Outdoor™ with other paint polymers will compromise the color, durability and other key features of the paint.
Water should not be used with FolkArt® Outdoor™. Adding water will interfere with the durability and paint adhesion properties.
Yes, for decorative purposes or spot designs on functional pieces, such as a chair.
Yes.
If you are basecoating concrete, for example for a bird bath or statue, a lime neutralizer is needed. Household vinegar works fine. Coat the concrete with vinegar, let it dry, wash it off, dry thoroughly, then it's ready to paint.
It is not ideal to basecoat a large concrete area to walk on (ie: a patio).
Absolutely. FolkArt® Outdoor™ is formulated as a permanent outdoor paint. It is both UV and weather resistant. Self-sealing when properly cured, (48 hours for brush-on, 72 hours for dimensional) it is scuff and scratch resistant under normal handling conditions. FolkArt® Outdoor™ dries to a satin sheen.
You can stencil, sponge or brush on opaque and metallic colors. Brush-on colors can be stroked and blended like other FolkArt paints.
No, unless used on a water saturated surface, such as a bird bath. The FolkArt® lacquers are ideal for outdoor use and are compatible with FolkArt® Outdoor™ paint.
Uncoated and Enameled Metal, Galvanized Tin, Wood, Rusted Metal, Terra Cotta, concrete and bricks.
