Happy Birthday! When it comes to celebrating, the decorations should be just as fun as the party itself. A DIY pop-out “Happy Birthday” banner lets you go big with color, creativity, and personality. Think bright paints, bold lettering, and playful details that match the vibe. When everything comes together, the banner becomes that statement piece that instantly makes the whole space feel festive, colorful, and ready to celebrate.
Instructions:
- Unroll your brown craft paper, cut off about 6 feet, and fold it in half!
- Grab a large bowl or anything with a good-sized circle and use it as your tracing guide.
- Trace that circle with a pencil and cut it out. Don't toss the scraps because you'll need them later!
- Sketch out your design on the circle. Add elements like frosting, sprinkles, and confetti and don't forget to add a name to make it extra special!
- Bring your design to life with Apple Barrel acrylic paints and let it dry completely.
- Add fun accents and dimension with Apple Barrel Paint Pens. This is where the magic happens!
- Use tacky glue to sandwich the two circles together but leave a 4-5" gap open. Let the glue dry before moving on.
- Crumple up those saved scraps and stuff them between the layers like you're stuffing a pillow, then seal it shut with tacky glue to get that awesome pop-out effect!
- Finish it off by gluing a ribbon to the back so your banner is ready to hang and steal the show!
