Level up your gift game with custom decoupage tags and jar labels—way cuter than store-bought and totally personalized.
Instructions
For Jar Labels:
Step 1: Print and Cut - Print your chosen labels from the XMAS TAGS LABELS digital download. Cut out each label carefully, leaving a small border if desired.
Step 2: Apply to Jar - Clean and dry your glass jar. Using a firm decoupage brush, apply a thin layer of Matte Mod Podge directly to the jar where you want the label. Press the printed label onto the wet Mod Podge, smoothing from center outward to remove bubbles.
Step 3: Seal the Label - Once the label is positioned, apply a thin coat of Matte Mod Podge over the top of the label, sealing it to the jar. Brush gently to avoid tearing the paper. Let dry for 1 hour.
Step 4: Add Lid Labels - Apply smaller circular labels to jar lids using the same technique. Refer to the photo for placement.
Step 5: Finishing Touch - Tie ribbon around the jar neck for a festive finish.
For Gift Tags:
Step 1: Print and Cut - Print tags from the digital download on cardstock for durability. Cut out each tag shape.
Step 2: Seal the Tag - Apply a thin coat of Matte Mod Podge over the front of each tag to seal and protect the design. Let dry for 30 minutes.
Step 3: Punch and Attach - Punch a hole at the top of each tag. Thread ribbon through and tie onto your wrapped gift. Refer to the photo for placement.
Pro Tips
- Use cardstock for tags that will be handled; regular paper works fine for jar labels.
- Apply Mod Podge in thin, even coats to prevent wrinkling.
- Smooth bubbles immediately while Mod Podge is wet.
