FolkArt Color Shift Neon Balloon Animal Decor

Other Things You'll Need

  • Bubble vase
  • Ceramic balloon dog
  • 12” x 12” wood panel
  • Wooden domes of various sizes

Instructions

Vase

  1. Pick out your surface, the funkier shape, the better! Bonus points for a thrifted or upcycled vase. Clean your surface to make sure it’s free of oils or residue. This helps ensure that the paint adheres correctly!
  2. Using a pouncing motion, apply FolkArt Color Shift Neon acrylic paint in Green. Apply two coats for a richer color effect and let dry.

Balloon Dog

  1. Following the same steps as the vase, cover the surface with FolkArt Color Shift Neon in Pink and let dry.

Wall Art

  1. On your unpainted surface, create your layout with your unpainted wooden domes. We created clumps of “bubble clusters,” but how you lay it out is up to you!
  2. Once you have a layout you like, mark off sections for each neon color block. We worked through each section, coating the surface and the domes with FolkArt Color Shift Neon in Yellow, Yellow Orange, Green, and Pink as we went along, so we could keep everything grouped together.
  3. As your surface and domes dry, apply glue to the back of your domes and glue them in place. Let dry
  4. Place all of your new, neon pieces under a blacklight and watch them glow!
