Glittering Pink Vases

Add a little sparkle and softness to your decor with these glitter covered vases. Working in small sections with Mod Podge Gloss, you'll layer on glitter in shades of pink, purple, and cool metallics until each vase is fully covered in dense, glittering texture. Group a few together in different tones for a pretty, coordinated display. 

Instructions:

1. Prepare the vases. Clean each vase thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. Remove any dust, fingerprints, or residue from the surface. 
2. Choose your glitter colors. Select a different glitter color for each vase, or use multiple colors on one vase for a blended or ombré effect. 
3. Protect your work surface. Place a sheet of paper or a tray underneath your vase to catch the excess glitter. This will also allow you to easily pour the extra glitter back into its container. 
4. Apply Mod Podge to a small area. Using a small paintbrush, apply a thin, even coat of Mod Podge Gloss to one section of the vase. Work in manageable sections rather than covering the entire vase at once. 
5. Add the glitter. While the Mod Podge is still wet, generously sprinkle glitter over the coated area. Make sure the entire section is well covered. 
6. Tap off the excess. Gently tap the vase over your paper or tray to remove loose glitter. Rotate the vase as you work so you can see and cover all sides. 
7. Continue around the vase. Apply Mod Podge to the next small section and cover it with glitter. Continue working your way around the vase until the entire surface is covered. 
8. Let each section dry completely. Don't skip this step! Allow each little section to dry completely before applying Mod Podge right next to it. If the glitter is still wet or tacky, your brush can pick up the previously applied glitter and transfer it into the new section. 
9. Build up the coverage. After the first coat has dried, inspect the vase for thin or bare areas. Apply another thin layer of Mod Podge to those spots and add more glitter. This is especially helpful for achieving the dense, sparkling finish seen on the pink and silver vases. 
10. Allow the vase to dry thoroughly. Once you've achieved the desired coverage, let the entire piece dry completely and undisturbed. 
11. Remove loose glitter. Gently tap the vase or use a soft, clean, dry brush to remove any glitter that hasn't adhered.
