Other Things You'll Need

  • 16 oz. glass mason jar
  • 8 oz. glass mason jar
  • Googly Eyes 
  • Styrofoam Balls 
  • Dowels 
  • Styrofoam block 
  • Cheesecloth  
  • Bowl 
  • Plastic Wrap 
  • Scissors  

Instructions

Cheesecloth Ghosts 

  1. Insert the dowels into the Styrofoam balls and then insert them into the Styrofoam block.  The length of the dowel will determine the height of the  ghost. 
  2. Place plastic wrap on top of each armature. 
  3. Cut the cheesecloth to fit over each armature. 
  4. Pour the Stiffy into a bowl and then add some Glow-In-The-Dark Mod Podge and Mix. 
  5. Dip the Cheesecloth into the mixture.  Remove excess and place on top of each armature.  Add more layers if necessary.   Allow them to dry for 24 hours. 
  6. Paint Licorice eyes on each ghost. 

Mummy Jars 

  1. Cut the cheesecloth into strips.  
  2. Pour the Stiffy into a bowl and mix in the Mod Podge Glow-In-The-Dark. 
  3. Dip the cheesecloth strips into the mixture and start wrapping the jars.  Continue this step until the jars are completely covered.   
  4. Put the googly eyes in place and add strips of cheesecloth on top of eyes at the top and bottom.  This will hold the eyes in place.  Allow to dry overnight.
