  1. Base coat - Paint entire wood slice with Light Blue. Apply 2-3 coats, letting dry 30 minutes between coats.
  2. Paint leaves - Using small detail brushes, paint simple leaf shapes in various shades. Refer to the photo for placement - leaves arranged in an organic, flowing pattern. Use Basil Green, Teal, and Navy Blue for variety.
  3. Add berries - Paint small dots in clusters using Basil Green near the leaves.
  4. Dry completely - Let cure 24 hours before hanging.

Ornament 2: Navy Blue Background with Holly

  1. Base coat - Paint entire wood slice with Navy Blue. Apply 2-3 coats, letting dry between applications.
  2. Paint holly leaves - Using Basil Green and Thicket, paint pointed holly leaf shapes. Refer to the photo for placement.
  3. Add lighter accents - Use Light Blue to paint additional leaf shapes for dimension.
  4. Paint berries - Add small red berry clusters using Berry Wine.
  5. Dry completely - Let cure 24 hours.

Holiday Greeting Card

Card Design

  1. Plan layout - Sketch light pencil guidelines for your design elements: decorative branch at top, "merry" text at bottom with holly accent.
  2. Paint main branch - Using small and medium detail brushes, paint a cascading branch with leaves. Refer to the photo for placement - starts at the top left, curves down toward the center. Use:
    • Titanium White for white leaves
    • Basil Green for light green leaves
    • Thicket for dark green leaves
    • School Bus Yellow for yellow accent leaves
  3. Layer the leaves - Paint leaves in overlapping layers, varying sizes and angles for natural movement. Let each color dry before adding adjacent colors to prevent muddying.
  4. Add small details - Paint tiny dots and accents in School Bus Yellow (636) throughout the branch.
  5. Paint "merry" text - Using Lipstick Red and a small detail brush, hand-letter "merry" at the bottom of the card in a casual script style.
  6. Add holly accent - Paint small holly leaves in Thicket and berries in Lipstick Red flanking the word "merry."
  7. Dry completely - Let the card dry flat for 2-3 hours before handling or inserting it into the envelope.
