yellow floral vase

This Marigold Floral Vase plays with contrast between hand-painted stripes and detailed florals. FolkArt Acrylic Paint and Mod Podge give the piece its layered, fall-ready finish.

Other Things You'll Need

  • Paper napkin with vintage pattern
  • Large thrifted vase

Instructions:

  1. Paint the vase with Day Break and let dry. Apply a second coat if needed for smooth, even coverage.
  2. Using a medium flat brush and Tangerine, paint stripes around the top of the vase. Let dry.
  3. Cut out the floral designs from the paper napkin. Separate the layers, using only the top printed ply.
  4. Brush Mod Podge onto the vase, then position the napkin designs as shown.
  5. Gently press the napkin pieces into the wet Mod Podge, smoothing them into place. Do not brush Mod Podge over the napkin at this stage.
  6. Let the vase dry completely, then seal the entire surface with a topcoat of Mod Podge.
