  • Variety of hard cover books in desired sizes 
  • Small ceramic bird 
  • Small paper mache box 

Instructions

  1. Books and Box: We grabbed a few thrifted hardcover books for this project and basecoated them in Martha Stewart paint in Deep Sea and Sea Lavender. Let dry. 
  2. Using the Martha Stewart Vintage Florals Stencil kit, apply your stencils to the spine and covers of the book. For a contrasting, yet cohesive look, we flipped our colors and stenciled the Sea Lavender onto our Deep Sea book and vice versa. Using a pouncing motion, fill in the stencil area with your paint and gently lift the stencil to let the design dry. 
  3. Frame: Basecoat your Martha Stewart Scalloped Frame in Slate Gray and let dry. 
  4. Pick your desired stencil design and follow the same pouncing motion to apply Martha Stewart Pearl Paint in Jet Stream to the design area. Gently lift the stencil and continue painting your design around the edge of the frame. Let dry. 
  5. Bird: Basecoat your ceramic bird with the same Jet Stream paint and let dry.  
  6. Fill the frame with a favorite photo and display your pieces on your shelves!
