Instructions
Wood Tray
- Use stencil tape to tape off one end of the plaque and paint the rest with a basecoat of white. Refer to the photo for placement
- Allow the base coat to dry completely. Apply a second coat as needed.
- When dry, tape off stripes and paint the stripes red.
- Add ribbon and bow and a seasonal tag to create the gift look. Tuck sprigs of greenery behind the bow.
Mugs
- Use stencils to add wreath designs to the coffee cups. Carefully peel away the clear protective film from the adhesive stencils and apply them to the coffee cups. Ensure they are securely adhered to prevent paint bleed.
- Use daubers and foam pouncers to apply paint over the stencils, creating vibrant and festive patterns. Refer to the photo for color placement.
- Allow the paint to dry before removing the stencils.
- Use smaller brushes to add intricate details or accents to the designs, enhancing the festive look.
- To ensure the paint is set and long-lasting, follow the instructions on the paint set for heat setting, if applicable.
Tea Towels
- Carefully peel away the clear protective film from the adhesive stencil and position it on the cloth napkin or tea towel. Ensure it is securely adhered to prevent paint bleed.
- Choose a color from the Martha Stewart™ Holiday Classics Paint Set that complements your theme.
- Use a dauber or foam pouncer to apply paint over the stencil, gently dabbing to ensure even coverage. Refer to the photo for color placement.
- Allow the paint to dry before removing the stencil.
- If desired, reposition the stencil or select another design to add more patterns to the cloth napkin or tea towel.
- Repeat the painting process for each additional design.
- Once all paint is dry, carefully remove the stencils. Inspect your work for any touch-ups needed and make adjustments as necessary.
