Other Things You'll Need

  • Paper Napkins with nutcracker design
  • Matching scrapbook paper
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • 1” pink velvet ribbon

Instructions:

  1. Basecoat the lampshades with Sage Blossom. Let them dry completely. Apply a second coat if needed.

  2. Cut around the printed napkin design. If the napkin has a light-colored background, you can leave a wider border around the design. Carefully separate all layers of the napkin. Use only the top layer with the printed design.

  3. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the lampshade. Gently place the napkin design onto the wet Mod Podge. Lightly tap the design into place with your finger. Do not brush over the napkin because it may tear. Let it dry completely.

  4. Apply a top coat of Mod Podge over the napkin design once it is dry. Let it dry completely.

  5. Splatter the lampshade with Gold Metallic paint. Let it dry.

  6. Cut the scrapbook paper into 1" strips. Cut a scalloped pattern along the strips as shown. Use hot glue to attach the strips along the inside edge of the lampshade.

  7. Tie a bow around the base of the lamp as shown.
