Instructions

Step 1: Background Paint the entire canvas with Titanium White. Let dry completely.

Step 2: Pine Branches Mix Sap Green with a touch of Burnt Umber for depth. Using a medium flat brush, paint sweeping pine branch strokes across the canvas. Refer to the photo for placement. Add lighter highlights by mixing in Titanium White.

Step 3: Red Ornament Using a round brush, paint a crescent moon shape with Apple Red on the left side. Add True Burgundy to the inner edge for shadow. Highlight the outer curve with a mix of Apple Red and Titanium White.

Step 4: Yellow Ornament Paint the center ornament with Light Yellow. Add Pure Orange to the bottom edge for depth. Highlight with pure Titanium White on top.

Step 5: Blue Ornament Create the right ornament using Prussian Blue. Deepen shadows with Ultramarine Blue. Add Steel Gray mixed with Titanium White for highlights.

Step 6: Ornament Details Add metallic caps to each ornament using Steel Gray mixed with Titanium White. Paint small hanging loops above each cap.

Step 7: Light Reflections Create glowing spots on each ornament with pure Titanium White using a small round brush. Add soft halos around the white spots by lightly blending Titanium White into the ornament colors.

Step 8: Pine Needles Using a liner brush and your dark green mixture from Step 2, add individual pine needles extending from the branches. Vary the direction and length for natural movement.

Step 9: Final Highlights Add bright Titanium White highlights to pine needles. Touch up any areas that need more contrast or definition. Refer to the photo for placement of final details. Let dry completely.
