Three natural wood slices turned into coasters, decorated with vibrant paint pen wavy designs.

Brighten up your coffee table with these hand-painted wooden coasters featuring bold geometric patterns and eye-catching neon colors. Functional art that protects surfaces in style.

Instructions:

  1. Prepare wood slices. Select 3-4 wood slices with smooth, flat surfaces. Wipe clean with a dry cloth to remove any dust or debris.
  2. Create the base design. Choose your pattern for each coaster (radiating lines, sections, or circular patterns). Refer to the photo for placement.
  3. Draw dividing lines. Use the White paint pen to sketch out the main sections of your design. Create radiating lines from the center outward, or divide the coaster into geometric sections.
  4. Fill in bright colors. Fill alternating sections with Neon Pink, Orange, and Yellow paint pens. Work carefully to stay within your outlined sections. Refer to the photo for placement.
  5. Add contrasting sections. Fill remaining sections with Neon Blue and Purple paint pens, creating a balanced color distribution around the coaster.
  6. Add details and patterns. Use the White paint pen to add dots, lines, stripes, or other decorative details within each colored section. Refer to the photo for placement.
  7. Outline and define. Go back over section lines with White paint pen to clean up edges and make the design pop.
  8. Create variations. Repeat steps 2-7 on remaining wood slices, creating different color combinations and pattern variations for a coordinated set.
  9. Let dry completely. Allow paint to cure for 24-72 hours before use.
  10. Seal (optional). For added protection, apply a clear acrylic sealer once paint is fully cured.
