Instructions
- Using your palette knife, mix together FolKArt Super Thick Paint in Medium Blue and White to create a light blue and apply to the left half of your canvas. Apply just White to the right side. Blend the line between the two colors to create a soft gradient. Let dry.
- Load your palette knife with FolkArt Super Thick paint in Leafy Green to create your stems. Drag the knife downward at an angle, overlapping, to simulate the look of stems resting in a vase.
- To add leaves to the stems, load your palette knife with Leafy Green again and drag it flat across the surface, moving from the outside in, which tapers the paint towards the stems. Tip: we added a little bit of FolkArt Super Thick Medium Yellow to some Leafy Green to add a variation in leaf colors. Let dry.
- To create your flowers, use the same dragging and swiping motions with Medium Pink and a blend of other colors. For variation, dab FolkArt Super Thick in Soft Purple from the tip of your palette knife to create wisteria-like clusters. Finish off your flowers with Medium Yellow dabbed in the center.
- Use FolkArt Super Thick in Periwinkle to create your vase. We positioned the vase a little off-center to add some visual interest.
- The remaining FolkArt Super Thick in Deep Blue is applied to the lowest quarter of the canvas to act as the table the vase rests on. Let dry completely.
- Now you have a beautiful piece of art that you never have to worry about wilting (or irritating allergies). Yay!
