Super Thick Wreaths

Elevate your holiday décor with these textured striped wreath canvases featuring dimensional paint and luxe velvet bows for a modern festive look. 

Instructions 

1. Select a background color combination for each canvas and/or plaque: 
   • Pink & White stripes (Ballet Pink + White) 
   • Blue & White stripes (Dutch Aqua + White) 
   • Gold & White stripes (Starlight Gold + White) 
   • Mint & White stripes (Soft Mint + White) 
2. Paint wood plaques with Wicker White. Let dry and apply a second coat.  Let dry completely. 
3. Apply painters tape vertically across each canvas or plaque, creating evenly spaced stripes. Use 1" tape for wider stripes or 1/2" tape for thinner stripes. Alternate tape placement to create the striped pattern. Refer to the photo for placement. 
4. Using a flat brush, paint the exposed areas with your chosen accent color (Ballet Pink, Dutch Aqua, Starlight Gold, or Soft Mint). Apply 2 coats, letting each dry completely. 
5. Carefully peel away painters tape while paint is slightly tacky to reveal crisp white stripes. 
6. Using a palette knife, scoop Leafy Green Super Thick paint directly onto the canvas/plaque in a circular wreath shape. Apply thick, textured dollops around the circle, leaving the center open. The Super Thick paint creates dimensional, leafy texture. 
7. Step 6: Add Depth to Wreath While the Leafy Green is still wet, add dollops of Soft Mint Super Thick paint throughout the wreath. Blend slightly with the palette knife to create varied green tones and dimension. Don't overmix—let colors remain distinct. 

Step 7: Add Highlights Dab small amounts of White Super Thick paint onto the wreath using the palette knife for highlights and snow-dusted effects. Focus on the outer edges of the "leaves." 

Step 8: Additional Texture (Optional) For extra dimension, add touches of Dutch Aqua to some wreaths for a blue-green variation. 

Step 9: Let Dry Allow canvases & plaque to dry completely (24-48 hours for Super Thick paint). 

Step 10: Attach Bows Cut velvet ribbon into bow shapes or tie full bows. Choose ribbon colors that complement each canvas/plaque: 

• Navy velvet for blue/aqua striped canvases 
• Burgundy/maroon for pink striped canvases 
• Black velvet for mint/white canvases 
• Gold velvet for gold striped plaque 

Hot glue bows to the bottom of each wreath. Refer to the photo for placement. 

Step 11: Optional Hanging Add a ribbon loop to the back with hot glue for hanging or display on easels.
