Other Things You'll Need

  • Scissors
  • X-Acto knife
  • Scrap pieces of lace and ribbon
  • Small foam pumpkin

Instructions:

  1. Using an X-Acto knife, carefully cut a small opening in the bottom of the pumpkin, as shown. Make the opening large enough to fit over the goose’s head.
  2. Cut a long oval opening in the front of the pumpkin for the goose’s beak to fit through, as shown.
  3. Carefully trim and scrape away foam from inside the pumpkin as needed until it fits comfortably over the goose’s head.
  4. Basecoat the pumpkin with FolkArt Orange, using thick, visible brushstrokes to create texture. Let dry completely.
  5. Paint the face shapes with Licorice, as shown. Paint ovals with flat bottoms for the eyes, a long oval for the mouth, and a triangle for the nose. Let dry completely.
  6. Add the accents and painted details shown to create the vintage-inspired pumpkin face.
  7. Lightly dry-brush Tangerine over the pumpkin to add color and texture. Let dry completely.
