It was an action-packed weekend in the craft-o-sphere and Plaid was delighted to be front and center for the excitement! Between the
SNAP! blogger’s conference in Salt Lake City, Utah and the
Pinner’s Conference in Atlanta, GA, we had tons of fun meeting, educating, and crafting with the creative community.
We flew to Salt Lake City to attend
SNAP!, a three-day conference that celebrates all things in the creative blogging world. It was an amazing event that included some of the most extraordinary bloggers, makers, and entrepreneurs in the industry and it was an honor to be included in their ranks.
Plus, we were able to showcase our FolkArt Color Shift and FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Paint, which were a total hit. We were thrilled to be joined by Plaid Creator, Sam Spendlove with “Pretty Life Girls”, who graciously lent her expertise at the Plaid booth.
Next up was the
Pinner’s Conference in Atlanta, which is a Pinterest-based expo that featured the best of the best in the world of DIY. With nearly 200 businesses in attendance, the event offered anything from photography to scrapbooking to arts and crafts and home improvement. Not to mention all the yummy treats.
Our Plaid booth was a total hit, and we were excited to be joined by Amy Anderson of “Mod Podge Rocks” who helped us with product demos and education. Speaking of demos, we were lucky to have our own Andy Jones demonstrate some cool techniques and applications of our new Martha Stewart Watercolor Acrylic paint, Mod Podge Photo Transfer medium, and FolkArt Coastal paint. In addition, we had Plaid Creator, Amy Latta, offering classes on Mod Podge paper beads and hand-lettering how-to’s. Conference attendees also seemed particularly excited about getting to craft their own make-it, take-it projects with FolkArt Home Decor Chalk paint and Mod Podge.
All in all, we had a great time at both the SNAP! conference and Pinners expo and we can’t wait to return next year! If you stopped by our booths in either show, tag us @plaidcrafts or hashtag #plaidcrafts!
