January FolkArt Gathered Hues

January FolkArt Gathered Hues

We are here to help you Make Your Goals!

We are kicking off January with our favorite trend...marbling! As you start your year with a list of goals, in 2020 aspire to be more crafty and to reclaim pieces in your home. 2020 is about being more organized and saving money. With help from Plaid, we can show you easy ways to reclaim and reuse old furinture, decor items, boxes, and so much more. Using January's FolkArt Gathered Hues palette is the perfect way to start your crafty year off right.

In the spirit of making 2020 a crafty year, we took a thrifted dresser and upscaled it to make a modern, yet elegant decor piece. This dresser project was accomplished for a fraction of the cost of simply going out and buying one new. This month we used FolkArt Wicker White, Pale Gray, Seashell Pink, and Midnight Garden to give life to our old, tired furniture.

Mixed with our pouring medium, we were able to paint pour this dresser with a stunning marbled effect. Use what you have and with a little paint your decor will have a fresh, contemporary look - perfect for starting a new year!

To learn more about paint pouring, check out our video HERE. This subtle, yet stylish, color scheme is perfect for adding a splash of low-key color to your decor.

Happy Crafting and Happy New Year! Here's to making your goals!
