Color helps us perceive the world around us and when certain colors and finish come together they can truly tell a story. Just like the traditional colors of red and green are associated with Christmas, colors can evoke a variety of emotions and feelings. Which is why when it comes to the holidays you can use all kinds of colors and finishes to decorate your space. 

In today's blog, we are focusing in on an icy, pastel theme for your holiday handmade gifts and decor. Village Contest


We are celebrating the most festive time of year with another craft challenge! Join the #PlaidHolidayVillage and win free Plaid products! You could have your creation featured on our channel, and even win one of five prize packs valued at over $50. 🎁

We want to see your DIY holiday villages. Whether you make something from scratch or upcycle an old piece, the only requirement is that you use Plaid products or tools to create your village building: think Apple Barrel Paint, FolkArt Paint, or Mod Podge. You can enter as many projects as you like, but you can only win one prize pack. Your village needs to include at least one building but can also have cars, trees, or characters! Have fun with it!  We cannot wait to see what you create this season! We will be sharing your creations in our “Villages” highlight on our profile, so check back often for inspiration! 🏠

To qualify for the prize drawing:

🎁 Tag us & use #PlaidHolidayVillage on each entry.
🎄 Tell us in the caption what Plaid Crafts tools or formulas you used on your village building.
🌟 Challenge ends at 11:59pm ET on December 14th, 2021. The winners will be announced on Friday, December 17th, via a post here on Instagram. Challenge open to residents of the US only. Profiles must be set to public for entries to be visible.
