Summer calls for punchy, juicy colors bursting with bright pigments so it’s only right that July’s Color of the Month is
FolkArt’s Acrylic Paint in Pink Melon. Anyone can adopt this color trend because of it’s versatility in application to home décor, fashion, beauty, and of course, crafting! We also love this shade because it will likely accentuate the existing color palette in your home if it is neutral dominant.
In this post, you’ll see three ways in which we’ve applied Pink Melon to inspire you to create your own projects with this fun color. Each project has a skill level of Beginner or Easy, so we promise you can do this.
#1: Modern Pots
Group an assortment of planters in varying size, texture or shapes to create a visually interesting set of pots. Here we used ceramic or concrete, but any surface would work just fine if using a multi-surface acrylic paint. See detailed instructions to make this concrete planter, geometric planter with stars, or a geometric planter with gold texture.

#2: Pedestal Table
Add a pop of color to your foyer, mudroom or hallway with an upcycled pedestal table washed in Pink Melon. Simply sand the table's surface before basecoating for a long-lasting, even finish. See further instructions for more details.
#3: Marbled Canvas
Create an amazing work of art using the marbling trend! We took this artwork up a notch by adding
FolkArt Glitterific Acrylic Paint in Gold as an optional at then end once the marbling had dried.
Happy Crafting!
