The Second Release of Paintings in the FolkArt Studio Series is Here!

Our Content Editor for the Let’s Paint program, Andy Jones, has recently released three new paintings as part of the FolkArt Studio Series Let's Paint kit! Each painting provides its own unique challenge for the painter, but Andy does an excellent job of taking the painter step-by-step in his free online lessons.

Schedule some time for yourself and dive into these lessons at your own pace. All you need to get started is a canvas or surface of your choice and our FolkArt Studio Series Let’s Paint Kit.

Stick your toes in the sand and let Andy show you how to paint this Seascape scene using FolkArt acrylics and FolkArt Blending Gel Medium.  He expertly guides you through painting the sky, clouds, sea and shore.  You'll be ready for a tropical drink and some sunscreen when you've finished this painting.

These big, bright daisies are such fun flowers to paint!  In this lesson, Andy teaches you how to create an exciting, abstract background for your blooms.  He carefully demonstrates the dry-brush technique to paint each daisy petal.  Set some time aside so you can paint these vibrant flowers at a casual pace.  You'll have a daisy duo that will be the envy of any florist!

This adorable baby cow will steal your heart. He's super cute and you’ll have so much fun learning to paint this one! Andy will show you how to make the barn wood texture of the palette sign work to your advantage.  He will show you the techniques to make painting the cow hide easy and effective.  Relax and let your brush skim over the surface as you scrub on some FolkArt Acrylics and bring this little cow to life.

If you have tried any of these paintings and want to share or need some extra support, join our private facebook group, Let’s Paint with Plaid – our community is here to help. We also encourage you to hare your paintings on you favorite social platform using #PlaidCrafts and #LetsPaint.

Happy Crafting!
