  1. Prewash all glassware and ceramics in warm soapy water prior to decorating. Rinse well and dry.
  2. Refer to the Basic Stenciling Tips for information on using Martha Stewart Stencils.

Witch Candy Jar

  1. Using a large pouncer, paint the base of the jar lid Wedding Cake. Let dry.
  2. Paint the jar lid handle Beetle Black using a small pouncer; let dry.
  3. Stencil a Beetle Black witch design on the center of jar using beetle black and small dauber. Let dry. Be

Be Wicked Candy Jar

  1. Using stencil tape, mask the center band and paint it Wedding Cake using a medium pouncer. Also paint a band around the ball on the base as well as round the lid as shown.
  2. The lid handle is painted Beetle Black using a small dauber. Let dry.
  3. Score along the tape edges with a craft knife before removing tape. Carefully remove tape.
  4. Stencil Wedding Cake “Be Wicked” using a small dauber.
  5. Accent the design by stenciling Beetle Black bats and Pollen moon. Allow to dry completely.

Pumpkin Candy Jar

  1.  Paint the lid solid using a large pouncer and Wedding Cake. Let dry.
  2.  Using small pouncer, paint the lid handle Beetle Black; let dry.
  3.  Stencil a Marmalade pumpkin design centered on the jar using a small dauber. Let dry.

Clean Up

  1. Wash all stencils, brushes, and tools immediately after use before the paint dries.
  2. Cleaned stencils should be stored on the backer sheet for future use.


  1. Allow your painted project to dry for at least 24 hours before using the bake-to-cure method to enhance your project’s durability.
