  • Paper towels
  • Container for water
  • Palette
  • Rubbing alcohol

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Prewash all glassware and ceramics in warm soapy water prior to decorating. Rinse well and dry.
  2. Refer to the Basic Stenciling Tips for information on using Martha Stewart Stencils.

Ladybug

  1. Position ladybug stencil where desired on the ceramic tray. Press in place.
  2. Stencil a Pollen ladybug. Lift stencil then repeat the design creating an overall pattern of Pollen and Blood Orange ladybugs. Use a small dauber to stencil. Allow to dry. Stencil with the smallest dauber. Let dry.

Clover

  1. Stencil a single Green Olive clover where desired on the ceramic tray using a medium dauber. Let dry.

Lucky

  1. Using stencil tape, mask the bottom third of the ceramic tray. Paint below the tape line Blue Calico using a medium pouncer and allow to dry.
  2. Score along the tape line using a craft knife before carefully removing the tape.
  3. Above the color block of Blue Calico, stencil Blue Calico dice using a small pouncer.
  4. Stencil a Wedding Cake “Lucky” over the Blue Calico color block. Let dry.

Clean Up

  1. Wash all stencils, brushes, and tools immediately after use before the paint dries.
  2. Cleaned stencils should be stored on the backer sheet for future use.

Finishing

  1. Allow your painted project to dry for at least 24 hours before using the bake-to-cure method to enhance your project’s durability.
