instructions

  1. Water down Real Brown and paint the entire wood plaque as if you were using a stain. Let dry.
  2. Using a liner brush and Wicker White, hand letter the word “create” in the center of the plaque.
  3. Use a small flat brush, start on one side of the recessed area and begin blending red into orange, into yellow, and so on in the order of the rainbow until the entire recess is filled with color. Repeat the process backward on the other recessed area. Let dry.
  4. Use the same technique to apply Mod Podge Matte in areas between the colors, apply coordinating glitters as you go. Remove any excess glitter. Let dry.
  5. Protect your surface and put on the proper PPE according to the information on plaidonline.com/ModPodgeResin.
  6. Mix the resin according to the instructions on plaidonline.com/ModPodgeResin.
  7. Raise the plaque off of the surface of your workspace. For example, place upside down despicable cups beneath the plaque.
  8. Pour an even coat of resin over the surface. Start by filling the recessed areas. Then continue onto the raised areas until the entire plaque is coated evenly. Remove any air bubbles with a torch. Allow to cure for 24 hours.
