5 assorted wooden snowflakes, Iridescent white pipe cleaners, Various coordinating ribbons, Scissors, Craft stick or tool to apply texture paint, Sponge brush, Wire cutters, Jewel embellishments, Strong glue, Water basin, Paper towels, Palette, Sandpaper, #12 flat brush, #8 flat brush, Small detail brush
Instructions
- Prepare top snowflake: Basecoat center with Engine Red using # 8 flat brush. Basecoat outer portion of snowflake with Calypso Sky using # 8 flat brush. Allow to dry, apply second coat if needed.
- Apply Red Extreme Glitter to Engine Red area and Turquoise Extreme Glitter to Calypso Sky area. Allow to dry and repeat on backside. Glue gemstone to center of snowflake.
- Prepare center large snowflake: Basecoat front and back of snowflake with Wicker White using sponge brush. Allow to dry, apply second coat if needed. Paint red area of snowflake using Engine Red loaded on # 12 flat brush. Allow to dry.
- Float white stripes on red area using # 12 flat brush loaded with Floating Medium and sideloaded with Wicker White.
- Use craft stick to apply Snow White Texture Paint to longer tips of snowflake. When dry, paint over texture paint with Hologram Extreme Glitter. When dry, tap a touch of Calypso Sky on the texture painted areas for a highlight. When dry, repeat on back of snowflake.
- Prepare bottom left snowflake: Basecoat with Calypso Sky using # 8 flat brush. Basecoat outer portion of snowflake with Calypso Sky using # 8 flat brush. Allow to dry, apply second coat if needed. Apply Turquoise Extreme Glitter to snowflake. Allow to dry and repeat on backside. Glue gemstone to center of snowflake. Use craft stick to apply Snow White Texture Paint to longer tips of snowflake. When dry, paint over texture paint with Hologram Extreme Glitter.
- Prepare bottom center snowflake: Basecoat with Wicker White using # 12 flat brush. Allow to dry, apply second coat if needed. Using detail painter, dip and dot using Engine Red. Using wooden handle end of # 12 flat brush, dip and dot using Calypso Sky. Allow to dry and repeat on
- Cut and tie ribbons around pipe cleaners.
- Projects painted with Outdoor paints do not need to be sealed.backside.
- Prepare right snowflake: Basecoat with Wicker White using # 12 flat brush. Allow to dry, apply second coat if needed. Use edge of scruffy brush to tap in Calypso Sky and highlight edges of snowflake. When dry, paint over Texture Paint with Hologram Extreme Glitter. Allow to dry and repeat on backside.
- Glue gemstone to center of snowflake. Fasten snowflakes together with pipe cleaners twisting wire to keep in place. Cut with wire cutters when necessary.
