Spooky Wine Glass Candleholders

Transform thrift shop glasses into candleholders with a few simple steps.

Other Supplies

  • Mod Podge Mod Melts, White #24887
  • Mod Podge Mod Mold, Flowers #24889
  • Wine glass
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Paintbrush
  • E6000 glue
  • Halloween paper
  • Small glass candle
  • Ribbons and trims
  • Hot glue

Instructions

  1. Clean the inside of a wine glass with rubbing alcohol. Paint the inside and base of the wine glass with Licorice paint. Allow to dry and add a second coat if needed.
  2. Create a Mod Melt flowers by heating a Mod Melt stick in a high temp glue gun, fill a mold with the Mod Melt, allow to cool, remove from the mold and paint with FolkArt acrylic paints. We used: Glow Green. Glue to the fronts of the glass with E6000.
  3. Trim a strip of Halloween paper to fit around the glass candleholder. Glue to the candleholder using Mod Podge.
  4. Hot glue trims around the candleholder. Place the candle on top of an upside down painted and Mod Melted wine glass.
Tip: Look for glasses that have a cut crystal look for an extra spooky pop.
